The main focus of my research is the investigation of attention and executive motor control in healthy subjects and possible deficits in psychiatric patients. I am particularly interested in the influence of cognitive control processes on motor behavior and how the underlying neural networks interact to enable correct task performance. I therefore use task-based fMRI as well as meta-analyses to identify the key regions associated with cognitive control processes as well as multimodal connectivity approaches such as resting state and meta-analytic connectivity modeling to investigate the interactions within these neural networks.
