Who am I?

Member of Funsilab - Functional Nanoscale Structure Probe and Simulation Laboratory

I am Uriel, a dedicated physicist with a strong focus on computational research. Currently pursuing a PhD in Physics at the University of Duisburg-Essen, my work centers around the fascinating coexistence of topological states and spin-flip excitations. I specialize in exploring in-gap states that emerge from magnetic nanostructures on superconductors, leveraging my expertise in Simulation Sciences acquired during my Master's degree at RWTH Aachen University.

In addition to my research pursuits, I actively contribute to cutting-edge developments as a PhD Researcher at Forschungszentrum Jülich GmbH. My passion lies in the realm of parallel programming, where I develop sophisticated software to perform precise calculations of magnetic exchange interactions near superconductors. Proficient in languages such as Julia, Python, and C, I utilize parallel programming paradigms such as MPI, OpenMP, and CUDA to tackle complex computational challenges.

Throughout my academic journey, I have had the opportunity to serve as a project administrator for supercomputing projects. This experience has allowed me to enhance my skills in managing and coordinating large-scale computational initiatives, ensuring smooth operations and optimal utilization of resources.

Education plays a pivotal role in my journey. With a Master's degree in Simulation Sciences, I have honed my skills in computational techniques and their application to physics problems. I possess a strong command over supercomputers and am experienced in working with different operating systems. My expertise extends to various programming tools and technologies, including Numpy, Matplotlib, and LaTeX, enabling me to tackle diverse computational tasks.
