FAIR (Facility for Antiproton and Ion Research in Europe) is a new accelerator complex currently being built at GSI Darmstadt. Using the expertise on polarization experiments acquired at COSY and elsewhere (most notably the activities concerning the search for Electric Dipole Moments in storage rings), this group is investigating options to extend the existing FAIR program towards polarization physics.
