E P I Q

The Jülich Supercomputing Centre (JSC) at Forschungszentrum Jülich and the Siegen-based start-up eleQtron are together building a globally unique modular supercomputer consisting of a quantum module and a classical digital module. The project is called EPIQ and is based on a development partnership for a trapped-ion quantum computer in North Rhine-Westphalia (NRW).

Profile eleQtron

eleQtron is a start-up from Siegen that was founded in 2020 by Prof Dr Christof Wunderlich, Dr Michael Johanning and Jan Leisse. The deep-tech start-up started as a research group of the Chair of Quantum Optics at the University of Siegen and now consists of a 50-strong team of international experts.

JUNIQ - Quantum User Facility

The unique "JUelich User Infrastructure for Quantum Computing", or JUNIQ for short, provides science and industry with access to various quantum computers.
