Contents:

Starting with some fundamental concepts of object oriented programming (classes, inheritance, templates etc.), the participants will learn how to use the C++ standard library, and understand object oriented program design. In the second half of the course, scientific programming using C++ Boost libraries and graphical user interface design using Qt will be covered. Accepted norms of healthy programming practices will be discussed.

The participants will solve a large number of simple but instructive exercises throughout the duration of the course.

A good working knowledge of C is required.
