Quality Management

Quality management systems are instruments intended to ensure and continually improve quality in business processes at Forschungszentrum Jülich. The standards applied in business processes, research, innovation, and science-based services, as well as management and infrastructure processes, cover standards and regulations established at national and international level. They serve to fulfil legal requirements and meet the requirements of the interest groups.

Forschungszentrum Jülich makes use of various standards and regulations, including:

  • DIN EN ISO 9001
  • TQM (total quality management, EFQM Model)
  • DIN EN ISO/IEC 17025
  • DIN EN ISO 13485
  • GxP (good practice guidelines)

Forschungszentrum Jülich ensures that results from research and innovation meet its own high demands and that international quality standards are satisfied throughout all stages of the scientific value chain. The goal is to guarantee the safety of people and the environment at all times and to increase the trust that is invested in Forschungszentrum Jülich.

The Quality Management department (O-M) is a service provider for science and infrastructure concerning the establishment, operation, and further development of quality management systems, as well as monitoring compliance with these systems.
